This UNESCO World Heritage site was built in gratitude for the glorious Portuguese victory over the Spanish in 1385, in the Battle of Aljubarrota.

Bolsa Palace is the Stock Exchange Palace in Porto, Portugal. The Palace was built in the 19th century by the city’s Commercial Association and is located in the Infante D. Henrique Square in the historical center of Porto and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The groundbreaking was on March 19, 1882 and the construction will continue well into 2026, and the building facade design is taken from the holy scriptures and nature as models. When completed, the building will have eighteen towers.

The present Blarney Castle is the third structure to be erected on the site and was built by Dermot MacCarthy in 1446. The famous Blarney Stone is at the top of the castle

The Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum is is housed in the former mansion of wealthly industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, just off of Fifth Avenue on the upper east side of Manhattan.

The castle, built around 1425, contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings in the style of the period of the Great Earl.

Built between 1863 and 1868, Kylemore Castle, was a 70-room private home for Mitchell Henry and his family. Mitchell was the son of a wealthy Manchester cotton merchant, and he was skilled pathologist and eye surgeon, who ended up getting involved with politics.

The current 528-room Breakers was rebuilt in 1926 by Flagler heirs, since Henry had passed in in 1913. The architectural firm of Schultze and Weaver modeled it after the Villa Medici in Rome.

The castle dates back to the early 12th century, but most of the principal buildings date somewhere from the 15th and 16th centuries.

Edinburgh Castle is one of the oldest fortificated places in Europe, and the St. Margaret’s Chapel, located in the Edinburg Castle, is the oldest building in Edinburgh.

In 1902, Herbert Pratt hired James Brite to build the first house to occupy the site. Ten years later the house was torn down and the current building was constructed.

The Villa started as an ancient Cistercian woman’s monastery, which was built in the 12th century. The transformation in 1569 started with the Mornico family from Valassina, who owned the property for more than three centuries.

Today, the villa tells the story of over three centuries of great collections set on a property of botanical gardens with walking trails on the shores of Lake Como in Tremezzo.

In 1924, one of America’s wealthiest couples, started building a fifty-five room, 36,000 square-foot mansion called Ca’ d’Zan (meaning House of John) on Sarasota Bay in Florida.

The Villa was built by the wealthy Rufolo family in the 13th century. When built, it was one of the largest, most expensive villas on the Amalfi coast.

Villa Cimbrone stands on a rocky outcrop known as ‘cimbronium’, and that is where the villa got its name. The property originally belonged to the noble Acconciajoco family and then passed to the powerful and wealthy Fuscos in the 1300s.

The colonnade of the cemetery was built on 1816 in place of the abandoned Benedictine monastery. Inside are the ruins of a medieval chapel, with 14th century frescos and a Roman urn dating back to the 2nd century AD.

Its main focus was for gentleman’s sport of hunting fish and fowl as well as other outdoor activities. The club served members from 1886 though the 1960’s, and then through the 1970’s as the Connetquot River Club.
