Coloring Havana - Fusterlandia

A visit to Fusterlandia feels like stepping straight into Cuban artist Jose Fuster’s imagination.

Created by Cuban artist José Fuster, this vibrant neighborhood in Havana is covered in colorful mosaics, whimsical sculptures, and surreal designs. Fuster transformed his own home and then gradually the surrounding community into an expansive artistic environment, often compared to works by Antoni Gaudi because of the playful tiles and organic shapes.

Fuster’s own home and studio is a labyrinth of terraces, staircases, and mosaic-covered domes. Climbing upward, each level reveals a new perspective: a courtyard bursting with color, a balcony overlooking the neighborhood, the distant glint of the sea. It’s immersive in the truest sense—you don’t just look at the art, you move through it.

This is what caught my eye - I hope you enjoy!
