Promoting Interest & Education About The History Of An Eastern Long Island Town - Southold Historical Museum

The Southold Historical Museum maintains over a dozen buildings in the Maple Lane complex in Southold, located on the North Fork of Long Island, NY. As you walk the grounds, you’ll encounter structures ranging in date from 1750 to 1900, including a lighthouse, several houses, barns, outbuildings, and commercial structures. Some of these buildings are listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places. Founded in 1960, the museum opens many of these buildings to the public at various times throughout the year, offering events and opportunities to explore the rich history of the area.

This is what caught my eye; I hope you enjoy!
