It’s More Than Just Cheese - Gruyeres, Switzerland
Gruyeres is one of those Swiss towns that looks as if it wandered straight out of a medieval fairytale. Perched on a gentle hilltop and wrapped in alpine scenery, its old town carries the faint, comforting aroma of melting cheese. The entire center is blissfully car-free, which makes wandering the cobbled lanes feel peaceful, immersive, and just a touch timeless. Gruyeres is small — compact enough that it can be explored in just a couple of unrushed hours.
