Town With Views Of The Matterhorn - Zermatt, Switzerland

Zermatt feels like a postcard brought to life—wooden chalets draped in flowers, narrow lanes scented with pine, a rushing glacial river running through the village, and cowbells echoing softly from the surrounding hillsides. From almost every street the Matterhorn appears and disappears, framed by rooftops and ridgelines as you walk. It feels almost alive, watching over the town.

This car-free alpine village sits among some of the highest peaks in the Swiss Alps, with the Matterhorn towering above everything. Look up and you’ll spot cable cars and mountain trains gliding toward viewpoints like Sunnegga, Gornergrat, and Schwarzsee. Out on the trails, you’ll find mirror-still lakes reflecting the mountain, high alpine meadows, rocky ridges, and sweeping glacier views.

Zermatt is a blend of dramatic mountain scenery, peaceful walking paths, and classic Swiss charm—all anchored by one of the world’s most iconic peaks.

This is what caught my eye - I hope you enjoy!
