Nuuk is the capital of the world’s largest island, and is home to just 19,000 people, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in spirit.

Compared to other capitals, it feels relaxed and welcoming. The city is known for its striking architecture, tasty food, and beautiful natural surroundings.

Halifax is the largest urban area in Atlantic Canada and is the traditional and trendy capital of the province of Nova Scotia. Between the impressive waterfront and colorful, bustling streets, Halifax is a picturesque city.

Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland and the birthplace of the Titanic and the portable defibrillator was invented here in 1965.

On my visit to Raleigh I wandered through a few historic districts with their amazing historical architecture, two former hospitals, a cemetery and a historical park.

Madrid is a cheerful and vibrant city at all hours. It is known for its rich history, architecture, late dinners, art and culture. It is diverse and welcoming with every style of neighborhood and culture.

Berlin is a diverse city with a vibrant culture scene. It has both new and historic architecture, monuments and memorial sites commemorating the city’s unique history.

Back in the day, architects, painters and sculptors came to Rome to create the city you will see today. Thankfully, it has not gentrified.

Vienna is the capital of Austria and a city full of historical buildings and some of the most astounding palace complexes in the world.

Washington DC was formed in 1790 and is home to United States government buildings including the Capitol, White House, Supreme Court building

Munich is located in the southern German state of Bavaria and is also the capital and home to centuries-old buildings. It is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration, beer halls and gardens.

Bratislava’s nickname “Little Big City” comes from the fact that it is Slovakia’s largest city, but one of the smaller European capitals. The charming city center and Old Town area is very compact with many beautiful buildings, but not many visitors compared to other nearby European cities.
